About the University of Zanjan

The University of Zanjan (UZ) was established in 1353 to cultivate talents through education and scientific research to help equip and provide expert workforces required by the country, and create research facilities to identify unknown potential factors and to increase scientific ability in the field of various sciences in the city of Zanjan. Currently, The UZ, known as the greenest university in Iran according to the Green Metric ranking, feels the responsibility of educating students in various fields, establishing academic relations with domestic and foreign universities through cultural and academic agreements, organizing scientific and educational conferences and seminars, translating and authoring books and other publications in various scientific fields. With an area of over 400 hectares, The UZ enjoys a high capacity for the development of suitable educational and welfare spaces for students. Having adequate facilities, and being located in a green space outside the city, The UZ provides students with a suitable environment to study and conduct research far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Top-ranking scientists, such as Professor Ali Ramezani, considered a prominent scientific figure, are engaged in the training of young scientists at the University of Zanjan. This university currently has student exchange agreements with more than 25 universities worldwide.
